Internal Audit Outsourcing- CICN will design and execute an Internal Audit plan for clients who do not currently have an Internal Audit Department to perform this type of work.  CICN can also help clients set up a fully functional Internal Audit Department. Internal Audit Co-Sourcing– For clients with existing Internal Audit departments, CICN can perform select Audits on behalf of the organization. CICN can adapt to the existing audit structure to provide seamless audit and reporting.
This service is ideal for clients with workloads in excess of capacity, where adding headcount to the department is not cost effective or justifiable.

Risk Assessments- The basis for which the annual Internal Audit plan is formed, a Risk Assessment allows the client to consider the risks to their business and design an appropriate course of action to mitigate these risks. Risk Assessments cover the entire organization, from Human Resources to payroll, to marketing efforts. Risk Assessments can also be used as a starting point for a comprehensive Enterprise Risk Management program.

Due Diligence- Prior to acquiring a new business, clients should ensure the financial records by which these decisions are made are accurate. CICN can perform test work on the financial and business records of a potential acquisition in search of potentially inaccurate or misleading data.

Staff Augmentation- Many larger organizations have established Internal Audit departments which are capable of executing the planned audit work. In circumstances involving an unexpected request for an additional project or staff attrition, CICN can help clients fill an immediate staffing need with experienced professionals. Professional staff from CICN generally have more experience and are available for a lower rate than could be obtained from larger firms.

Special Project Work- Often times immediate needs for projects involving business analysis come up with an without an immediate in-house staffing availability. CICN can execute these business projects on an al la carte basis. Clients can address their special needs through CICN while continuing normal business operations without the need to add full time employees.

Site Inspections- Remote operations are often times neglected by companies due to their immaterial financial nature. Depending on the nature of operations at these sites, more than financial loss could be at risk. Legal risk and negative publicity could result if these subsidiaries are not being run appropriately. CICN can perform a “site level risk assessment” at remote sites to focus a site review on the riskiest aspects of the site’s operations.

CICN also performs site inspections of rent controlled apartment properties to ensure compliance with subsidy provisions, including tenant qualification and property maintenance.

Investigative Services- Situations may arise involving actual or suspected business impropriety. CICN can investigate these allegations and collect necessary evidence to quantify the extent of such improprieties. More importantly, CICN will examine and strengthen the control system which allowed the impropriety to occur, helping to prevent future occurrences.
